What is an articulated dump truck (ADT) driver?

ADT Dump Truck is also called an articulated haulier, dump haulier, and rock truck. It works to transport significant amounts of massive material within or outside of a construction site. If the location of your project involves rocky terrain, the machine won’t have a hard time navigating the area. Even if it isn’t flat or smooth, contractors won’t have difficulty driving the truck.

The machine comprises two sections; the front tractor section and the back haulier, which is also called the trailer section. Hydraulic cylinders link the two parts, letting the back haulier rmove horizontally in connection with the front tractor. Doing so is more effective for the truck to release materials at different angles.

Whether your construction site has complex surfaces or unfinished surfaces, you can always depend on an articulated haulier to drive over it with ease. Contractors can also use the new or used machinery to navigate flat roads to bring materials from one location to another.

This is in line with any other large vehicle, where the licence is dictated by weight.  These larger vehicles, needing a Cat C licence, are the most likely to be required for large scale construction sites.
