what are the uses of bulldozer and 3 parts.

Bulldozer thrusting dirt around Dozer or rather dozers is your machine.

Besides being a master of the dirt pile, the dozer can slope, grade, push, clear land and backfill with sheer horsepower and delicate precision.  It’s one of the essential pieces of equipment in a contractor’s fleet.

Dozer the powerful machine for thrusting earth or rocks, used in farming, road building, wrecking and construction.

what are the part of Bulldozer?

A- The Blade or the business-end of the dozer. It can be positioned in a variety of ways and comes in several shapes and sizes, all designed to get the most out of whatever job is at hand.

B-The Track, also called an undercarriage, provides the traction and stability needed to power through all the jobs on a dozer’s to-do list. While most dozer tracks are made of steel, some smaller dozers also use rubber tracks, which are kinder to sensitive areas and asphalt and concrete.

C-A Ripper, positioned on the back of the machine. It does just that: it rips through the ground behind it to allow for easier removal by the blade on the dozer’s next pass. Rippers come in two basic types: single or multi shank.

What are they used for ?

Roadbuilding

Dozers are a primary tool used in the building of roads. When a road is built, the topsoil needs to be removed because it is full of moisture and organic material, and the road will be unstable if it is built on top of the topsoil. A dozers pushes away the topsoil, creating an opening for the road that can then be filled with gravel and clean fill. Dozers are also used to smooth the fill that is used to build the road.

Demolition

The act of destroying and removing old and derelict properties usually involves the use of a bulldozer. A large bulldozer can knock a house over, saving the trouble of having to deconstruct it piece by piece. Bulldozers that are used in this kind of work are equipped with a sturdy cab over the driver’s seat to prevent injury. Once a bulldozer has knocked down an old structure, the bulldozer can then be used to push all of the debris into a single pile and clean up the surrounding area.

Earthmoving

The most common use for a bulldozer is moving large amounts of earth and soil. The bulldozer can push piles of material in front of it using its blade, which saves workers the trouble of using a backhoe to lift everything and put it down somewhere else. Bulldozers are sometimes used in conjunction with backhoes and other digging machines. The backhoe lifts material out of an excavation and sets it on the ground, and the bulldozer pushes it away to another location.

Construction

Bulldozers can be used for many different purposes in the process of construction. Large construction projects require extensive preliminary site work, and much of this is done by bulldozers. Bulldozers can strip off surface vegetation in preparation for the digging of foundation holes, and can move materials such as gravel, fill and topsoil from place to place. Bulldozers can also push waste, brush and other materials into one location for burning or disposal.

Types of bulldozers

Crawler dozers (those on tracks) are the most common machine on jobsite. With the tracks keeping these heavy machines from sinking, crawler dozers work great in the muck and mire and rough terrain of a typical jobsite.

There are also wheeled dozers, which use four heavy-duty tires instead of tracks to quickly maneuver the machine on flat surfaces; they shine in road maintenance and working on sensitive ground.

Dozers come in all sizes, from around 70-horsepower smaller units (also called mini dozers) that excel in landscaping contours and fine grading to the massive 890-horsepower machines used in mining to rip, push, and stockpile materials.
